Career Guidance Session

Career Choices in the 21st Century – Helping Students Build Their Best Future

A career guidance session was organised for the students of Classes IX to XII on 17 October 2026. The session was conducted by Mr. Abhijeet Muley, an M.Sc. in Computer Science and MBA graduate with 20 years of professional experience. He has been associated with the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Reliance, Birla Sun Life and other reputed organisations. Later he opened Clarion Consultancy to guide students for upcoming different career opportunities.

The session provided valuable insights into career planning, beginning with the definition of a career and extending to the importance of parental participation in guiding children. The speaker encouraged students to explore over 250 career options and understand their individual learning styles, including auditory and visual learning, along with the motivation factors influencing their choices.

He highlighted emerging careers in cloud engineering, the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain development, foreign trade, actuarial science, investment banking and financial analysis. He also introduced opportunities in scientific research through IISER and the NEST examination pathway, including routes towards research at institutions such as the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC).

Mr. Muley emphasised that students must identify their skills, interests, personality and passion before choosing a career. He encouraged parents to interact meaningfully with their children about their aspirations. He also stressed the importance of avoiding career-selection mistakes, exploring reliable career portals and building a professional LinkedIn profile rather than relying solely on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

The session was highly informative and motivated students to explore opportunities and plan confidently for a successful future.
